This free, self-paced program helps adults read to their children, ages 5 and younger. The goal is to finish 1,000 books before a child begins Kindergarten. Kids get prizes from the library for every milestone.
If you read just 1 book a day, that would be 365 books the first year, 730 books by the second year and 1,095 books by the end of the third year!
You may re-read books, you can begin any time, and you may read more than one book per day. Any time your child hears a book read aloud can be counted: story time at the library, listening to a sibling read, a baby-sitter, grandparents...anyone!
For questions or more information about this program, please call or contact the Children's Librarian.
