Open Mic Night

NaNoWriMo Finale

Say farewell to 2024 by coming to Open Mic Night and NaNoWriMo prize drawings! Read a selection of something you've written during the year, or listen to other writers.

To give a reading, participants must register for Open Mic Night, otherwise registration is optional!

Readings:

Individual readings should be no longer than 5 minutes (about 2.5 double spaced pages, 12-pt font). If you do not want to perform the reading yourself, you are welcome to bring someone else to read your work for you. Performance times may be lengthened or shortened based on how many participants would like to read. Invite your friends and family to come and listen to you too! 

NaNoWriMo Prize Drawing:

The NaNoWriMo finale drawing will take place at the beginning of the evening. Entrants (or their representative) must be present to win. To join NaNoWriMo, please visit our National Novel Writing Month event page.

NaNoWriMo participants are eligible to enter prize drawings based on the number of points they earn throughout October and November. Possible prizes to win are one of three $25 gift cards or other writing-related prizes (1 prize per participant). 

2 points (entry for bronze drawing)
4 points (entry for silver and bronze drawings)
6+ points (entry for all 3 drawings)
